the aim of the peer mentoring project is to create young volunteers that come into our service and provide peer mentoring support to young people who have found themselves in similar situations through bereavement, loss and seperation. you will get 3 OCN qualifications and do non accredited safeguarding training
3 modules in the OCN qaulification
self improvement: we at youth life believe that if you want to help other people the best person too start with is yourself, no better way than personal development in this module. we will look at personal strengths and skills, areas for improvement and setting goals
peer mentoring skills: we will develop the skills needed to be a peer mentor, building confidence and looking at the role and benefits of a peer mentor
peer mentoring practice: we will look at establishing relationships, assessing and reviewing peer mentoring as a service
